Here is the beginning of an ongoing project by Ambient Film Production. The purpose is to record and showcase as many World War II veterans as possible (not only veterans but anyone involved in the war). Their stories, once they are gone, can never be re-made, re-interpreted or re-recorded. From the interviews we will create “story vignettes”: short, educational, dramatic pieces centered around a particular, unique, war story. Here are just a few examples of our first story teller: (my grandfather) Lawrence V. Losurdo, an MP who, among other things, escorted General Patton.
Note: Please do not be offended by Mr. Losurdo's use of language about rape. As I've been told many times he is from a much different generation. It should also be known that he had been diagnosed with dementia a year before this was recorded (which only effected his short-term memory).
Thanks for watching.
